"Noel" was created as a Christmas card for Gentleman Scholar. Suddenly without extra pitch work the week before our holiday break, the Wills decided that a team of three of us - Heather Aquino, Daniel Uribe, and myself - would use the remaining time to create a fun stop motion piece to send out in our newsletter. This was the first time that I took on a great amount of responsibility on a project.
After shopping for objects to use, spray painting them white, setting up the lights in extra office space, charging multiple Canon batteries, and downloading Dragonframe for the studio - we began the tedious process of frame-by-frame animation. I was ecstatic to spread my stop motion knowledge, and I learned a ton from working with others closely on this type of animation.
